Summary of Breaking Bad Seasons 1-5 DVD Boxset
season 1
Walter White, a 50-year old chemistry teacher, secretly begins making crystal methamphetamine to support his family after learning that he has terminal lung cancer. He teams up with a former student, Jesse Pinkman, who is a meth dealer. Jesse is trying to sell the meth but the dealers snatch him and make him show them the lab, which is in an old RV that Walt and Jesse have purchased. Walt knows they intend to kill him so he poisons them while showing them his recipe.
Walt and Jesse try to dispose of the two bodies in the RV, which becomes increasingly complicated when one of them, Krazy-8, wakes up. They eventually imprison him in Jesse's basement. Meanwhile, Skyler grows suspicious of Walter's recent behavior and discovers that their baby is a girl. Jesse disposes of the body of the other dealer, Emilio Koyama, using hydrofluoric acid as per Walt's instructions, but ignores Walt's warning to use a plastic bin and instead destroys his bathtub in the process.
season 2
Having completed their deal with Tuco in the junkyard, Walt and Jesse realize just how crazy and violent he can be. Jesse is convinced that he has seen Tuco's black SUV going up and down his street. Walt puts it down to paranoia—until he sees a black SUV parked just down the block from his house. Jesse's solution is to shoot Tuco before he kills them, but Walt has a better idea using ricin. Panic sets in, however, when they think Tuco is killing his associates. Hank reviews the security surveillance footage of the warehouse break-in without realizing it's Walt and Jesse. Skyler tells Hank about Marie's shoplifting and gets a surprising reaction.
season 3
As Walt copes with the aftermath of the plane crash and Skyler's anger, Jesse comes to a new realization about himself. A new adversary tracks the elusive Heisenberg, Walter White's kingpin alter ego. Skyler seeks advice on the state of her marriage and confronts Walt.
Walt tries to reconcile with Skyler, but when his advances are rejected he takes drastic action to bring his family back together. A confused and angry Walter Jr. lashes out at his mother. With the help of Saul, Jesse makes a significant investment.
season 4
Walt and Jesse are held hostage in the lab by Victor and Mike, anxiously awaiting Gus's reaction to the murder of Gale. Skyler fears the worst when she can't get ahold of Walt. Saul is paranoid about bugs, wiretaps, and surveillance now, even hiring a personal bodyguard. Hank struggles with life at home after his injury, snapping at Marie and becoming more preoccupied with collecting and cataloging minerals. Gus shows up, changes into a lab suit, slits Victor's throat with a box cutter, then changes back to his work clothes and tells Walt and Jesse to get back to work, then leaves. Walt is more shaken than Jesse, who later tells Walt that they don't need to worry about being killed when it's as if, stuck in their situation now, they're already dead.Season 5
Walt heads over to see his Family, still being kept under guard, while dealing with the aftermath of the explosion at Casa Tranquila. News of the three deaths at the senior center spreads while Walt plots his next moves in order to ensure that his Family and his secrets are kept safe.
A wealthy German businessman commits suicide to evade questioning about his ties to Gus Fring. In order to rebuild their lives and form a new profitable business, Walt and Jesse decide to look for a new potential partner to aid them in their latest venture. The DEA filters through various leads in hopes of finding something.
